The goal of the Rapid Response Summit is Transformation. Transformation of perceptions of what Rapid Response is. Transformation of how it operates. And transformation to what it can become.

The Summit will result in a shared vision of a set of principles and activities that will position Rapid Response and the public workforce system as a key player in ensuring success in a global marketplace.

Transformation will be achieved when the paradigm for Rapid Response has been changed to always Initiate, Connect, and Create:

Initiate

 proactive collaboration and partnership
  • Facilitate relationships between the workforce investment system and key partners/stakeholders
  • Maximize resources through partnership

Connect

 strategic planning to regional economies
  • Focus on talent development in driving regional economic competitiveness, increased job growth and new opportunities
  • Redefine traditional boundaries to view regionally
  • Continual examination of the dynamically changing economy and proactive planning to foster innovation

Create

customized solutions for businesses and workers in transition
  • Understand and maximize the flexibility of Rapid Response funds to design unique solutions
  • Position the workforce investment system as a partner to business that provides value-added solutions
  • Leverage all available program and partner resources to provide tailored, seamless services

Take action and be part of the transformation.  Meet us in St. Louis for the 2006 Rapid Response Summit!
